Kumarkhali (Bengali: কুমারখালি) is an Upazila of Kushtia District in the Division of Khulna, Bangladesh. It is famous for the Shilaidaha area, where the poet Rabindranath Tagore spent a considerable time of his youth.

Kumarkhali is located at 23.8542° N 89.2417° E . It has 48387 units of house hold and total area 265.89 km².

As of 1991 Bangladesh census^GRBangladeh, Kumarkhali has a population of 269008. Males constitute are 51.77% of the population, and females 48.23%. This Upazila's eighteen up population is 133845. Kumarkhali has an average literacy rate of 24.9% (7+ years), and the national average of 32.4% literate. ^[1]
