Kumano Shrine

Kumano Shrine (Japanese:熊野神社) is a type of shinto shrine. There are many Kumano shrines in Japan. They include:

  • Kumano Sanzan 熊野三山 -- Sōhonsha (the head shrine) of Kumano Shrines.
    • Kumano Hayatama Taisha 熊野速玉大社, Wakayama Prefecture, Shingu city
    • Kumano Hongu Taisha 熊野本宮大社, Wakayama Prefecture, Tanabe city
    • Kumano Nachi Taisha 熊野那智大社, Wakayama Prefecture, Nachikatsuura town
  • Kumanotaisha Shrine (Yamagata) (Nanyo, Yamagata)
  • Kumanotaisha Shrine (Shimane) (Matsue, Shimane)
  • Kumano Kōdai Shrine (Karuizawa, Nagano)
