Kuldeep Kumar

Kuldeep Kumar is the present Industry minister of Himachal Pradesh. He is the son of Badri Dass Dhiman. He was born at Majhin, District Kangra on 12 April 1950. He is a graduate. He was educated at DAV College, Hoshiarpur. He got married to Shashi Bala on 5 May 1974. He was born in a family of Congressmen. He remained Joint Secretary of the following organisations-
He was the member of D.C.C. Una, since 1992. He got elected to State Assembly first in 1993 and got re-elected in 1998 and 2003. He has remained the Deputy Speaker from 16 December 1993 to 17 October 1995. He was inducted into Council of Ministers as Minister of State for Co-operation (with Independent Charge) and Higher Education on October 18, 1995 and remained at the post upto 24 December 1997.
He was the Minister for Co-operation (at Cabinet Rank) from March 6, 2003 and redesignated as Industries Minister on August 8, 2004 along with the portfolio of Co-operation Department. He also remained the President of HPPCC from 24 November 2004 to 25 July 2005.[1]
