Why is there a photo of a beach instead of the actual town/urban area in this article? It is by no means offensive but rather odd as it should have formed the basis of another new article , i.e. the Teluk Chempedak beach etc. Alternatively, I suggest that an actual photo of the town be taken, coupled with the current photo of the beach for a sense of completeness. - Arthur Oon 05:09, 1 August 2005 (UTC)

Kuantan shall be a big place. Its just not the city. It is around 1200 square km huge. More photos should be placed. Take a shot on the scenery especially at the Panorama hills, the city, the port, ant the waterfall please.

[edit] Media References to Kuantan

Found this interesting reference on Kuantan, it's apparently part of the Command & Conquer mythos/canon

"Nod forces are composed of freedom fighters from other terrorist organizations, mercenaries and conscripts from the territories Nod controls. Before the Sarajevo central headquarters was identified, Nod was believed to have no central command base, instead operating from multiple individual locations, with posts previously identified in Kuantan, Malaysia; the Ar-Rub' al-Khali desert, Saudi Arabia; Tokyo, Japan and Caen, France."

Excerpt taken from the Brotherhood of Nod Wikipedia page.

There's also a mention of Kuantan in an episode of 24, however been unable to find hard substantiation for that.

Worthy of being added in- perhaps a "Trivia" or "Media References" section?
