KTMW is a full-service television station in Salt Lake City, Utah, broadcasting locally in analog on UHF channel 20 as an independent religious broadcaster. Founded December 8, 1997, the station is owned by Alpha & Omega Communications.

[edit] Digital television

Because it was granted an original construction permit after the FCC finalized the DTV allotment plan on April 21, 1997 [1], the station did not receive a companion channel for a digital television station. Instead, on or before February 18, 2009, which is the end of the digital TV conversion period for full-service stations, KTMW will be required to turn off its analog signal and turn on its digital signal (called a "flash-cut").

• Channel 20 was the original home of KSTU, the area's Fox affiliate, from 1978 to 1987. As part of an FCC-approved deal, the KSTU intellectual unit moved to channel 13 in 1987 and currently operates under a separate license. The old channel 20 license was deleted; KTMW's license dates from December 8, 1997.
