[edit] Calvary Lutheran Church: Willmar, Minnesota
Hello, I have merged the page histories. Calvary Lutheran Church is now a redirect, so you should re-create it as a disambiguation page. Thanks. Mushroom (Talk) 16:04, 18 July 2006 (UTC)

Thanks, Carnildo. I guess I didn't leave enough information there. I added more source information, and I think the image of the game is very important to the Castle Risk article. If anyone can take a better picture, that would be great too. ~Kruck 15:41, 29 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Google Earth images
Hi, and thanks for uploading images to Wikipedia.
I wanted to let you know why I have deleted some images from Google Earth. Images can only be added to Wikipedia if they are either under a free license, public domain, or usable under Wikipedia's fair use policy.
As per this answer, Google Earth images are not licensed for commercial redistribution. This means that they are not under a free license, as far as Wikipedia is concerned.
It would be reasonable under fair use to use one or two images from Google Earth to illustrate its own article. However, it is not fair use to put them in articles about the town, city, or location depicted. Unfortunately, we cannot just slap "fair use" on any image that we would like to include on Wikipedia - not only could it expose the Wikimedia Foundation to legal liability, but it also runs directly against the goal of creating a free (as in speech) encyclopedia.
I hope you understand why these images have been deleted. Please ask on my talk page or Wikipedia:Media copyright questions if you have any further questions. Stifle (talk) 01:51, 1 August 2006 (UTC)

Just dropping a friendly hello...haven't seen you in a while...it's good to have another chillicothe guy helping monitor the page and fixing things...I have made a few minor updates. I assume this is john and not matt? Alancookie 21:02, 1 August 2006 (UTC)
Good to hear from you...I graduated from Ohio State back in '91...good school, had lots of great experiences there and met plenty of new friends. I managed a computer lab on campus for several years that later helped me secure a job teaching in Chillicothe. =) This summer has been busy...took 42 students (5th and 6th grade) out to Yosemite and San Francisco. Quite an adventure...other than that I'm just trying to stay cool. I'm working on a software development team at Horizon...which I enjoy quite a bit...we launched a product to the public last september so I'm busy with sales/support calls and keeping up on the documentation/design of the updates. Are you majoring in computers? Alancookie 12:18, 2 August 2006 (UTC)
Ahh...I started out in that direction too...but got side-tracked into education and then back into computers now...kinda full circle. =) if you want to move this conversation to email, you can send me a message...feel strange having all of it documented on wikipedia. Sorry, I missed what you wanted when you posted on my usertalk. Would you like me to advise you on how to get it deleted? alphaChimp(talk) 19:21, 15 September 2006 (UTC)
Yep, I'm not sure how to get it deleted. I hope it doesn't involve editing some 200 pages in the category, so I'm wondering if there's an easier way. ~Kruck 19:39, 15 September 2006 (UTC)
- I still have no idea what you're talking about. Could you please respond on my talk? alphaChimp(talk) 23:18, 15 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Merge proposal , "cable select" into "AT Attachment"
As the most recent non-anonymous contributor to the Cable Select page, you should be aware that I've proposed that this content be merged into the AT Attachment article. The Wikipedia project page, Wikipedia:Merging_and_moving_pages, suggests four good reasons to merge a page; it seems to me that this qualifies under the latter three of the four. An entry for "Cable select" would remain, but only as a redirect to "AT Attachment". If you have an opinion on this, please comment here. Thanks! Jeh 07:36, 7 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Notability of Calvary Lutheran Church (Chillicothe, Ohio)
A tag has been placed on Calvary Lutheran Church (Chillicothe, Ohio), requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert notability may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is notable, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}}
on the top of the page (below the existing db tag) and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.
For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Адам12901 Talk 06:52, 8 February 2007 (UTC)
