On this page is stated "Ashtanga yoga, which is derived from Krishnamacharya's book Yoga Makaranda)".

I have a copy of the Yoga Makaranda, but it doesn't mention Ashtanga yoga, in the sense of how Pattabhi Jois teaches it, so I would dispute the statement above. Ross.smith 22:11, 26 February 2007 (UTC)

It's time to recognise that Krishnamacharya is the uber-yogi who taught all the modern-day big names. Pattabhi Jois (respect to him too) said "only Krishnamacharya was teaching proper yoga."
