Kristen Hall

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Kristen Hall is an American folk singer/songwriter. She started out as a roadie for the Indigo Girls, and overcame overwhelming shyness to start a performing career as part of the Atlanta music scene. Her song "Let It Rain" was covered by Amanda Marshall. Most of her recordings appear on Daemon Records. More recently, she formed the pop country band, "Sugarland", adding Kristian Bush and Jennifer Nettles. She left the band early in 2006 because the heavy touring did not leave her time to concentrate on her songwriting, which is her true passion. Although she is an open lesbian, which is a rare occurrence in country music, her sexuality was hidden in country media guides.
