Kristen Bergmen was an opera singer who had a long affair with Mikkos Cassadine. Her real name was Kristin Nilsson, but she was best known as Bergmen, which was her stage name. They had two daughters, Alexis and Kristina. Helena Cassadine, Mikkos' wife, slit her throat in front of Alexis.
