Rajmata Krishna Kumari is last reigning Maharani of Marwar-Jodhpur (1947-1949) aState of Rathores. After the death of her husband Late Maharaja Hanuwant Singh ji, she was Regent for son, Maharaja Gaj Singh II . She provides a strong cultural binding to the family. She faced the brunt of the sweeping changes immediately after India gained independence. She instilled in her young son his deep and defining sense of duty.
She contested Lok Sabha election in 1971 from Jodhpur and won by a record margin.Rajmata is deeply religious and continues to participate in a range of social and religious activities. Also known as HH Maharani Krishna Kumari Ba Sahiba of Dhrangadhra.
