Kris Fisher

Francis Kristopher "Kris" Fisher is a fictional character in long-running Channel 4 British television soap opera Hollyoaks. He is played by Actor Gerard McCarthy from 2006-present.

Kris is a student at Hollyoaks Community College and is currently studying Media studies. On 4 December 2006, Kris revealed he was nineteen years old.

A student studying Media Studies, Kris causes quite a stir in the village, as he loves to dress up like 1980s icon Boy George. When he moved to Hollyoaks, he took an instant dislike to Jessica Harris because he recognised how badly she treated her friend Olivia Johnson. He became friends with Olivia and wanted her to stand up to Jessica. He was with Olivia in The Dog In The Pond the night Sam Owen set it on fire and killed her. Grieving for his new friend, Kris's dislike for Jessica quickly developed into a severe hatred and in return Jessica blamed him for planting Olivia's diary in her bedroom. She was later proved wrong as Will admitted to doing it. Although he is in with the students he is actually 18.

His vast confidence was shattered when Justin Burton beat him up at the Students Ball when he was acting indifferent to the recent fire. After the attack, Jessica became a pillar of support for him and they slowly became quite good friends. He now has a job at the new Dog in the Pond, even though Jack Osborne said he "wasn't working there dressed like that!" Frankie stuck up for him and employed him herself.

When the students spotted a stunning girl in the SU Bar, Will Hackett and Zak Ramsey agreed that she was out of their league but Kris argued that she wasn't out of his. He then managed to snog her in front of Zoë Carpenter, Jessica, Will and Zak, shattering their suspicions that he might be gay.

Jessica recently helped Kris secure a job as College Agony Aunt on HCC FM; he got the job protesting with Zoë and Will whilst stark naked, against Hollyoaks College fitting CCTV cameras around the college campus.

Kris's relationship with Jess has always been a turbulent one; he kissed a guy in The Loft as the latest attempt to make her jealous. She then pulled out of Kris's Match M8 event leaving Zoë to be the female contestant. Will did not find this very appropriate and blames Kris for Zoë having to go on a date with Rhys. Jess and Kris were recently locked in a bathroom together, where they revealed their true feelings to each other. They were just leaning in to kiss when flat-mate Will opened the bathroom door.

In the 2007 Valentine's Day episode of Hollyoaks, after Kris stands up for Jess against Will, Kris tried to throw her out of his room by saying "I think we're done here." Jess then continues to slam Kris' door with them both inside, saying "We are far from being done," before kissing him passionately. The two are seen continuing to kiss and falling back onto Kris' bed, which leaves the audience unsure if they are about to have sex or not. The camera then cuts to another storyline, leaving viewers wanting more and wondering if they will have sex and/or become a couple.

They do end up having sex and it seems that in the morning they are happy with what's happened until they begin to argue again! Kris later says to her (in front of Will and Zoe) "No point giving me the cold shoulder 'cos after last night you obviously want me and after last night there's no more having me." However Kris and Jessica's relationship seems to still have more in it.

On the 16th of February Kris was told he had tested HIV Positive after Will changed some results on his drug test form.

Kris believes Will is the only person who stood by him during his short ordeal, but does not realise he changed the results. Kris refuses to forgive Jessica, even after a number of public aplogies, and it is only when Jessica shouts at him in her final apology that Kris finally forgives her.

On Tuesday 20th March Kris' brother Malachy turned up whilst Kris was with a one night stand Nathan in his room. Kris hid Nathan in the cupboard as Malachy had no idea of Kris' bi-curious dressing up ways. Kris emerged from his room and to Jess and Zak's surprise appeared 'normal'. Upon yet another argument with Jess it was revealed that Kris' real name is Francis, he called himself his middle name Kris' as he didn't want to be known as "Franny the Tranny". Later at the Dog Jess and Malachy kissed and later slept together. The next day probably to get Jess jealous again he kissed Nathan but Malachy walked in and was shocked he later told Malachy he was bisexual and dressed up in women's clothes and Malachy disowned him, Kris later tried t apologise to Malachy with the help of Jess, Malachy didnt accept his brother but at least they were now on speaking terms.

Once they were back at The Halls Kris and Jess shared a bottle of wine. Jess walked over and sat down next to Kris, handing him the glass. They both talked with fixed eye contact, as Kris leaned on his hand, staring at her. After half a minute of talking Kris came out with one of his sarky comments; and Jess playfully tapped his hand, and hesitated to remove it. It was a tense moment for them both as they both knew where the moment was taking them. Kris decideed to tell Jess he knew by saying, 'Is this a come'on?' He then moved towards Jess, kissing her passionatly and vigourously. In the next scene the two were in bed together, after having sex for the second time. Kris then asked Jess, 'What do you want from me Jess? You don't want anything real do you?' and she said 'No nothing like that....' Although with a false voice. Kris then smiled and says 'Good, 'cos theres only one thing i'm good for right now and we just did that.'
