The Krimzon Guard was Haven City's police service and army in the fictional Jak and Daxter universe, and they were seen in Jak II and Daxter. Clad in red armour, they were extremely loyal to Baron Praxis and would carry out any of his missions without argument. Led by Commanders Erol and Ashelin, and at one time, Torn, they existed to enforce the Baron's brutal policies and carry out missions for him. Some of them carried tasers, called energy rods, while others wielded blasters. They patrolled the streets of Haven City either on foot, or in special vehicles such as Krimzon Guard Zoomers or HellCat Cruisers. Their heavily tattooed faces make them both intimidating and show their devotion to Praxis. After the discovery of Mar's Tomb by Jak, a new, yellow-clad elite version of the guard was introduced. These were stronger and had better weapons, but were otherwise very similar. After the death of Baron Praxis, Ashelin became Governor of the city and the Krimzon Guard became loyal to her; they were at first renamed the New Krimzon Guard, and were led by Torn. Later, by the time of Jak 3, these guards were renamed the Freedom League and were far more benevolent, clad in blue armour.

[edit] KG

However, the robotic legions of the Krimzon Guard lived on, and now were bent on the destruction of the city. Commanded by the ressurrected Cyber Errol, the KG took part in the war that took place between the Freedom League and the Metal Heads, quickly conquering the city's Industrial Zone and attacking the Port and New Haven several times. A new floating War Factory served as a spawn point and base for the KG, and for a while they seemed unstoppable. However, after the factory was shut down by Jak, their numbers decreased and after Errol's defeat, the KG were leaderless and quickly finished off. However, at least one KG robot, UR-86, lived on afterwards, taking part in the Kras City Racing Championship.

[edit] Types of KG Robots

In Jak 3, the KG robots ascended from prototypes to an army. Here is a list of the robots:

Blast Bots:KG Blast Bots are mechanized sppider-like bombs that are always a last resort. When they find their target, they will explode on contact. They shoot electrical beams and bombs. Their weak point is underneath them, for there is less armour.

UB86:These are the typical robots of the KG army. They can tuck into balls and roll towards their enemies. They have dual blasters as weapons.

Spider Bots:Small and pretty harmless, these robots can only tackle others as an attack.

Hover Bots:Hover Bots are fairly new KG robots and can hover around. Their weapons are the same as a UB86's.

Sentinel:KG Sentinels are weak, hovering robots that are used mainly for spying, but are also equipped with typical blaster.

Robo-Goon:KG Robo-Goons are similar to the Metal Head Grunts. They often walk on all four legs, but they will stand up and charge you with a powerful punch. They do not posses any projectile weapons.

Hopper Bot:KG Hopper Bots are small, toad-like robots that hop around and tackle others. They are slightly smaller and much faster than the Spider Bots.

Blade Beater:KG Blade Beaters patrol narrow passages, such as the sewers, and attack with three spinning blades that are in constant motion. They cannot be destroyed.

Fighter:The KG Fighters are sleek fighter jets that are only seen when piloting the Hellcat Cruiser in the Floating Factory level. They are destroyed easily, but are very fast.

[edit] Cyber-Errol

Presumibly dead as of Jak II, Errol led the KG robots to become an army. With this, the KG made him a cyborg. Errol was later defeated by Jak, but he escaped. At the time, he was also working with the Dark Makers, and took a Terraformer to earth. Jak then killed Errol in an explosion, leaving the KG to die.

[edit] Krimzon Guard Elite

In Jak II, when you come out of Mar's Tomb, there are Krimzon Guards clad in yellow armour. They are Krimzon Guard Elite, which dosen't seem like much of a difference. However, Elite Guards are tougher to take down.
