Krasnogvardeysky District (Russian: Красногварде́йский райо́н; Adyghe: Красногвардейскэ район) is one of the seven districts of the Republic of Adygea, Russia. The area of the district is 700 km².[citation needed] Its administrative center is the village (selo) of Krasnogvardeyskoye. District's population: 31,536 (2002 Census); 29,953 (1989 Census). Population of Krasnogvardeyskoye accounts for 28.7% of the district's population.
Krasnogvardeyskoye and Khatukayskoye rural settlements, located in the east and northeast of the district, are located on the shores of Krasnodar Reservoir.
