KPVI is the local NBC affiliate for Idaho Falls and Pocatello, Idaho. It broadcasts an analog signal on channel 6, and a digital signal on channel 23. The station is owned by Sunbelt Communications Company.
KPVI's transmitter is located on a mountain top about 4 miles ENE of the Pocatello city limits, along with its sister station KFXP. This location was chosen because of possible interference from KIVI television in Nampa, Idaho which also broadcasts on channel 6 and at one time were sister stations (hence the roman numerals) with the same affiliation (ABC, until 1996). KPVI broadcasts its analog signal at 100 kW.
KJWY is a full service television station broadcasting on analog channel 2 in Jackson, Wyoming, and has the distinction of being the lowest-powered full-service television station in the United States, at only 178 watts. It also tied CJBN-TV channel 13 of Kenora, Ontario, also at 178 watts. While KJWY is technically a satellite of KPVI, it also carries Wyoming news from co-owned KCWY in Casper, Wyoming.
KPVI offers NBC Weather Plus on one of their digital stations.
