The Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Limited of (KPTCL) is the premier supplier and distributor of electricity within the Indian state of Karnataka.It's origin was in Karnataka electricity board ( KEB ). This electricity transmission and distribution entity was corporatised to provide efficient and reliable electric power supply to the people of Karnatak state.The KPTCL has further been divided into following subsidaries as follows

  • BESCOM , Bangalore Electricity Supply Company.
  • MESCOM, Mangalore Electricity Supply Company.
  • HESCOM
  • GESCOM
  • CESCOM

Each of these subsidaries look after transmission and distribution of electricity in a particular region of Karnataka,generally few districts.
