KPBT-TV is a public television station in Odessa, Texas, broadcasting locally on channel 36 as a PBS member station. The station is owned by Permain Basin Public Television, Inc.

The station was founded on New Year's Eve 1984 as KOCV-TV, and was owned by Odessa College and later by the Ector County Independent School District. First Lady Laura Bush was one of the station's 500 original members. The station changed its calls to KPBT in 2006 after being transferred to community ownership.
