Koza District, Kanagawa
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Kōza (高座郡; -gun) is a district located in Kanagawa (Sagami Province), Japan, and it once known as "Takakura-gun" in the past. Before the Modern Times, nearly 100 villages were located but since then, the numbers of municipalities reduced by merging into surrounding cities or towns, and currently, the district has only the town of Samukawa left but if this town became a city alone, this district will automatically dissolve.
As of 2003, the district has an estimated population of 47,050 and a density of 3,505.96 persons per km². The total area is 13.42 km².
