Zapraszam. Appleseed (Talk) 18:20, 1 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] The Princely Houses of Poland

Thank you for that article. When you create a new Poland-related article, please list it at Portal:Poland/New article announcements, so we can help with fleshing it out. You may also want to use Polish letters (i.e. Radziwiłł instead of Radziwill).--Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus Talk 18:33, 2 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Guenther Grass

Hi,

He's not generally regarded Polish and he doesn't declare himself Polish either. Guenther Grass says he's German. Kpjas 18:03, 25 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Stewart

Of course she is of Polish descent/Polish-American. But we need a source that just calls her "Polish" if we are to put her on an actual list of Poles. Mad Jack 15:59, 27 August 2006 (UTC)

No, I know that. Your source doesn't call her "Polish". THat's what it needs to do for her to be on the list of Polish people (i.e. as opposed to the list of Polish-Americans). Mad Jack 17:24, 27 August 2006 (UTC)
Oh, and Iggy Pop is not Polish at all (the IMDB is full of fan-submitted junk information and should not be used as a source). According to this full-length book biography, searchable online,[1] - Iggy Pop is Irish and English on his father's side (his father was adopted by a Swedish-American family, hence the name) and Danish and Norwegian on his mother's. Cheers... Mad Jack 17:36, 27 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Wallington, New Jersey ancestry info

What is the source for the Wallington, New Jersey ancestry info you added, and which you are adding to other articles? A source should always be indicated and this would be helpful for Walington and other municipalities. Alansohn 17:49, 5 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Ancestries

I note that you are adding information on ancestries to various city articles. Please take a moment to ensure that the articles you are linking to are actually articles about the relevant ethnic groups; for example, Germans or German American rather than German; French people rather than French, and so forth. Thanks for your contributions to Wikipedia! --Russ (talk) 16:56, 9 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Andrew Johnson

How do you know Andy is a Polish Briton? Kowalmistrz 21:59, 31 December 2006 (UTC)

Er... do I? -- Mattythewhite 22:02, 31 December 2006 (UTC)
It wasn't me, I've just looked back on Johnson's page, and it was IP 81.111.76.84 that added this category. -- Mattythewhite 22:06, 31 December 2006 (UTC)
Thats okay mate. -- Mattythewhite 22:12, 31 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] List of Polish Jews

Your help is needed in preventing the addition of unsourced names to the list. The tagged names like Wocjciech Jerzy Has and Michał Waszyński have stayed on the list unreferenced for weeks now. I tried to get others to look for what I couldn't find by making a comment on Source on the talk page. I was ignored. These names can not stay forever as some people wish. 141.213.211.73 02:10, 10 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Polanski

Please discuss the move at talk:Roman Polanski. So far no one has shown that he uses a diacritical, so I don't see why we would insert one. -Will Beback · · 01:37, 27 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Vietnamese Europeans

Re your edit: Got a source for the number of Vietnamese people in Poland? Thanks, cab 01:41, 27 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Republic of Ireland

That's a pretty neat fact about the language. Can you provide a cite for it in the article, though? Please don't remove the {{citation required}} tag! If you need some help adding your reference, I'll be glad to assist. Thanks :) - Alison 16:59, 16 March 2007 (UTC)

  • Thanks for the reply. I added your reference - Take a look :) - Alison 17:16, 16 March 2007 (UTC)
