Kovaipudur

Kovaipudur, on the outskirts of Coimbatore is a small township on the foot hills of the Western Ghats, earlier known as Little Ooty for excellent climate and serene settings, was set up sometime in late seventies. Today this township has 7500 families , 2 arts colleges, 1 engineering college and a handful of schools. Kovaipudur is a 15 minutes drive from Ukkadam and a 20 minutes drive from RS Puram. Many small colonies around Kovai Pudur have also come up in recent times.it is a very good place to live in

Recently the area has come under Corporation. Lot of development has to take place. The people here are Hindus, Muslims and Christians. There as 3 Temples very famous Visalakshi Viswantha Temple, Venugopala Swami Temple, Gaanapathi Temples and 2 churches one mosque. Shanti Ashram is also doing lot of yoemanservice.
