Kotturpuram is a locality in Chennai (Madras), Tamil Nadu, India. Located on the south bank of the Adyar River, it is easily identified on satellite maps, being situated on a prominent northward bend of the river. It constitutes mostly of residences and sports clubs. It has developed into a posh residential community since the 1980s.
It is also the site of education and research hubs of the city, being adjacent to the Indian Institute of Technology - Madras, (IIT), Anna University, MGR Medical University, Cancer Institute and the renowned Guindy Children's Park.
It is also the proposed site for the building of a new secretariat at the Anna University land.
Apollo hospital has recently opened a new centre for excellence for women.
Kottur has MRTS(Briged Rail) services too.
