[edit] Kakinada-Kotipalli Railway

Kakinada-Kotipalli Railway line is restored in 2004 after 65 years. It is under Vijayawada division of South Central Railway, Indian Railways.

The railway line between Kotipalli and Kakinada was originally laid in 1928 by the British to provide transport access to the Godavari delta area. But the line was dismantled in 1940 due to the acute shortage of steel after the outbreak of the second world war.
