Up and running in July 2004, KOSW-LP (91.3 FM) in Ocean Shores, Washington was started entirely by volunteers of the Ocean Shores community. The radio station's idea was to inform the visitors and residents of Ocean Shores of events and other important information. KOSW-LP is owned by the city of Ocean Shores. The radio station format (originally programmed by Ty Rosenow) is a variety format radio station and is still completely run by volunteers.
