I think its out of place to give this character his own page. He is only briefly mentioned at times by Borat. Just like "Azamat Bagatov" is merged with Ken Davitans page, this should be merged with Borat (where there is already a section there refferencing him) ---Duhon December 23rd 2006

I think there is enough information on him to give him his own page actually. If we just merged every character in the Borat universe inte the borat article the article would become huge..CFCF 13:10, 24 December 2006 (UTC)

The Korki Buchek page has 11 lines of information and will probably get more soon. It's way too much to be merged with the Borat page. I don't see why it should. Also, it has a link to the article on Borat and there's a link to the Korki Buchek article on Borat's article. Also, Buchek is not played by Sacha Baron Cohen like Azamat Bagatov is played by Ken Davitian.

A performer of the stature of Korki Buchek merits his own page - merely for the popularity of the world famous song "Bing Bong". Unfortunately, it is only available in Kazakhstan in 8 track. Does anyone know if they have CDs in Kazakhstan yet? Try [1]

Haha...CFCF 19:25, 27 December 2006 (UTC)

I say keep it...it's significant enough to warrant a page. Maxxo 05:41, 1 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Actor's name?

Does anyone know the name of the actor who portrays Korki in the MTV video? Or whether he is the same person who sings in the "Bing Bang" MP3 linked above? --Lph 13:48, 5 January 2007 (UTC)

I'm positive the song is sung by Baron Cohen (cant prove it), but I'm pretty sure the on-screen Buchek is not him. - Keith D. Tyler (AMA) 17:28, 5 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Name spelling

Is the name really spelled Korki? This myspace page [2] spells it Corkey. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 161.253.47.118 (talk) 05:14, 19 January 2007 (UTC).

^That page is made by some guy who doesn't have anything to do with Borat, and he decided to spell it "Corkey". But, when I read Borat's two official myspace pages, he spelled his name as "Korki Buchek", so I decided to make the wikipedia article with that name. "Corkey" seems like the english/american way of spelling it.. I doubt they substitute the K-sound with a C in Kazakhstan or that they have the Y to replace the I. But I made it so that when someone types the name "Corky Buchek", "Korki Butchek", "Korky Buchek" along with various other variations, that they should be automatically redirected to this page.
