[edit] Vandalism?

==History==

In the Middle Ages, Korbach was the southernmost member of the [[Hanse]].
The first time Korbach was mentioned in history was 712 AD as a Carolingian post.

==Economy==

The economy of Korbach is dominated by a [[Continental_AG]] plant.
 More than 3000 people work there, which is quite a lot compared to
 the 25.000 inhabitants of the town.

On the surface of things, the foregoing – now removed from the article – would seem to be utter nonsense. Both "facts" were inserted by an anonymous user, by the way.Kelisi 04:27, 23 July 2006 (UTC)

nonsense? I don't know, at least it is true that Continental AG is producing in this city, don't know about employees though... —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 89.51.93.182 (talk) 15:40, 17 January 2007 (UTC).
Both points happen to be true (I was born and raised in Korbach). The hanse part is reason for an anualy hanse fair - that dosen't mean Korbach was by any means an important part of the hanse, but it was a part nonetheless. How many people actualy work at the Continental plant I do not know (I learned 15 years ago it were about 2000, but who knows), but it is the dominating workplace of the town. --Mountainshadow 15:02, 20 January 2007 (UTC)
