Kormakitis

Kormakitis (Greek spelling Κορμακίτης, Turkish: Korucan) is a small village in on the northern coast of Cyprus, in the area occupied by the Turkish army, also called the TRNC. It is the historical centre of the Maronite Church in Cyprus. The Cape Kormakitis is named after the village. Before the war of 1974 the village had around 1000 inhabitants.
