[edit] LAN Gaming Center

I appreciate your recent comment and work on LAN Gaming Center. It would be helpful if you would comment on my recent dmoz suggestion and change, whether you weigh in positively, negatively or inbetween. I think it is important to demonstrate to the silent reverters that there can respectful dialog even if we don't agree and we might even come to a consensus! The main anon IP has been blocked and I have asked for a semi-protect on the page to calm things down (which means the anons can't edit, if it becomes protected). [edit] License tagging for Image:Rpgmakerone.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Rpgmakerone.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 21:08, 25 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] cartoon song

Thanks for helping out with the cartoon song. So many negative editors out there tsk tsk. --Whatfg 18:09, 2 March 2007 (UTC)

No problem! Thank you. Kopf1988 18:13, 2 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Deletion explaination

There is nothing to correct -- ironically, the name of the convention should give you a preview why: not every anime convention is inherently notable... especially one with just over 500 visitors. I know you like anime, but please take a look at WP:ILIKEIT. Not a valid reason to keep it here. Delete and salt if persists, until notability has been established by reliable sources. /Blaxthos 22:25, 14 March 2007 (UTC)

Excusing the Article X is noteworthy, so this should be too argument, is there any other reason why this convention is actually notable? I believe if it were, there would be reliable sources for use in applying WP:ATT. /Blaxthos 22:38, 14 March 2007 (UTC)
None of those sources are reliable. Please check out WP:RS -- self published sources are not appropriate for wikipedia. I also suggest re-reading WP:N. /Blaxthos 23:19, 14 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Another Anime Convention AfD

I looked over it again per your request. However, I still believe the page should be deleted. I have added my reasoning to the AfD. If you wish to contest this further, you can list the page at WP:DRV. Thanks, Prodego talk 23:53, 19 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] AfD nomination of Mindbridge Foundation

An editor has nominated Mindbridge Foundation, an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not"). Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Mindbridge Foundation and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. [edit] avcon

thanks for cleaning up my edits. so do you go to avcon every year? btw i post on gamefaqs to, with nickname mastertazo. i'm sure i've seen you somewhere as i enjoy rpgs as well.

[edit] Here's how this works - re:AfD discussions

Here's how this works, David. You disagree with me, fine, I get that. However, just because something is nominated for an AfD, does *not* necessarily mean that it *will* be deleted. It's up to you to present your case with facts, as I have done for my point of view, in the AfD discussion. Making bad-faith allegations against other editors is not the way to go, especially when, as in this case, I have presented a thorough search to back up my argument. I see you tried to link this to my problems with WCityMike from last year - the difference in that case and this situation is that he was shown to have not done *any* research on the subject, was vindictive in targeting ALL fanfilms, and there were allegations of sockpuppetry against him which, while never proven, damaged his case and credibility, which eventually led to him leaving Wikipedia.

I've backed up my argument with facts. Will you do the same for yours? Or is this just going to come down to baseless accusations? Your call. MikeWazowski 04:35, 22 March 2007 (UTC)

Comment Actually, I mistook that argument in a different way, and consequently put my post in the wrong place (as you can tell by edit hist) I just decided to leave it nearby for ease of reference. Had you considered a prod for AnimeIowa? For something running nearly 10 years, seems like more sources could easily be found if you seemed to have so much reasoning behind your AfD tag. Finally, google test is not a good indicator of notability. Its highly suspicious that after I disagree with you in one AfD, you find the convention I claimed was my favorite and you decide to mark it (and related material) for deletion. Case closed. Kopf1988
