Konstruk-Tubes

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Konstruk-Tubes™ tubular building set was created in 2006 by Keith S. Lock of Bradenton, Florida. Keith Lock, a paramedic, invented the toy after seeing his children play with some PVC pipe and fittings. He decided to create a toy based on these basic building principles that would allow children to use their imagination without posing limitations with specified designs.

The basis of the set is simple, Polypropylene tubes and connectors. Keith did add some unique designs to his connectors however. The basics like 90 degree elbows and Tee connectors are used but more complex and specialized connectors are implemented as well. These combined with varied lengths of tube allow for limitless creations.

The toy has already been reviewed and accepted by the Manatee County school district in Florida. It will be in every Elementary School in that county.

Lockmade LLC. owns the Konstruk-Tubes™ brand. Lockmade LLC is based in Bradenton Florida as well.
