[edit] Biography

[edit] Early Years

His fascination with electronic music began at age 4 through a TV-Series called Moonbase Alpha-1. The show's theme music, an electronic composition from Jean Michel Jarre, had such a great impact on him it changed his life.

In the early 1980s, Konstantinos began composing music with the only instrument available to him at the time, a Sinclair ZX Spectrum Micro Computer. After a few years he acquired an Amiga 500, and started composing MOD tracks for Amiga Demos.

[edit] Mid Years

Konstantinos first real synthesizer recordings were composed in the early 1990s, when he met a fellow composer named Stefan Konstantinides aka. Elektroware. Stefan had an Ensoniq ESQ-1 with a four channel multitrack recorder. They connected the Amiga and the Synthesizer and as a result they produced many electronica tracks together, inventing a new style called Atmotechnica.

Konstantinos adopted the name "Digitalism" in 1996 and first appeared under that name in recordings on mp3.com in the winter of 1999 and later on Electronicscene.com. Digitalism has released a variety of albums on the Internet, including: In Motion (2003), 808 Physics (2002), Electronism (2001), Humanism (2001), Hypnotism (2001), The Murder Trial (2000), and Network Divers (1999). Digitalism also collaborated with Bassic on Chronicles 1991-2003 [by Bassic].

[edit] Today

In 2004, Konstantinos signed with a record company. His music was available via digital download format from all major online retailers throughout North America and Europe.

In 2006, Konstantinos stopped using the name Digitalism.
