Konistres (Κονίστρες) is a municipality in Euboea, Greece. Population 4,077 (2001). Konistres emanates from the ancient word "Konistra".Konistra means palaistra (in Greek),which is a wrestling pitch.Today Konistres caters for all tastes and is the ideal destination for all the enthusiast agricultural turists. Despite its small population, konistres delivers competent accomodation facilities, as well as, a variety of different shops to buy anything you will need during your stay.Here you can also find a general practioner or a pharmacist for the case of emergency.Georgios Koukis runs the one and only pharmacy (since 1950) in the area and he will be more than willing to assist you.From Konistres you have access both to the sea and the mountain.It takes no more than 10 minutes to reach the beautiful beach of Stomio and make your stay unforgetable.Konistres is very close to the Municipality of Kymi.
