Kong Jia of Xia

Kong Jia (孔甲) was the 14th ruler of the legendary Xia Dynasty. He possibly ruled 31 years.

According to Bamboo Annals, he also live at the Xia capital of West River (西河).

On the 3rd year of his regime, he hunted at mountain of Fu(萯山) in Dongyang(东阳).

On the 5th year of his regime, he made the music of East Sound(东音), another name of this piece of music is Song of Pofu(破斧之歌).

He was said to be very superstitous, and all he cares were alcohol and beautiful women. From his time on, the power of Xia started to decline and the States (诸侯) of Xia became more powerful.

During his regime, he fired one of his head of state, Tunwei(豕韦).

His vassal, Shang moved their capital back to Shangqiu(商丘) from Yin(殷).
