Konaje is a place near Mangalore. The Mangalore university is located here.

There are many city buses from Mangalore ( State Bank ) to Konaje.The university is located on hill top. Konaje can be reached by taking turn at Thokottu on National Highway 17 from Mangalore towards Talapady. Deralakatte which houses two medical colleges is on way from Thokottu to Konaje. Software Majors Infosys Technologies is setting up a campus nearby.

It is fast growing to be educational hub with many educational institutions opening up their colleges here. "Kshema" hospital run by famous K. S. Hegde Charitable educational institution is situated here. There are many other medical colleges in this area.

A wast area here is identified for SEZ (special economic zone) project. Sooner or later Konaje is going to be like Manipal with the fast economic activity in this area.
