[edit] Biography
Koi Turnbull started his career as a comic artist doing work for DC Comics. However, Koi's big break appeared at the Wizard World Chicago convention. Koi was able to show his samples to Aspen MLT's Vice President of Publishing, Peter Steigerwald, and Executive Vice President, Frank Mastromauro. The two vice presidents liked Turnbull's work so much that they asked him to call back the week following Wizard World Chicago so that they might discuss possible employment. Upon receiving a job at Aspen MLT, Turnbull moved out to California, working in their Marina Del Rey studio. Koi soon became the artist for multiple Fathom comic series, drawn to them by their lack of superhero characters. Koi has since worked mostly with writer J. T. Krul, Aspen's main script writer.
