Kodai road

Kodai road is a railway station lying between Dindigul and Madurai. It is formally listed as Kodaikanal Road (railway station code KQN). It serves as a rail to bus transfer point for passengers going to the popular tourist destination of Kodaikanal, a hill station in Tamil Nadu, about 2 hours distant via a ghat road. It also serves the nearby village of Ammayanayakkanur. Among the approximately 30 trains per day that serve Kodai Road is the Pandyan Express, which runs between Chennai and Chennai Egmore.
This station is also a business hub with retail shops open for 24 hours day. It is on the National Highway 7, which is heavily used by lorry traffic..
Nearby is Mariammman Temple with a uniqueness being the Deity (Shakti) is in Suyambu form. The temple is famous for its Chitrai festival which lasts for 10 days.
