KODJ

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

KODJ is the callsign for an oldies station in Salt Lake City, Utah, located at 94.1 FM. The station is owned by Clear Channel Communications.

The callsign was in use from 1989 to 1991 in Los Angeles, California for an oldies station known as "KODJ Oldies 93 FM". The "OD" was picked to sound like "oldie" and the "J" was in tribute to former top-40 station 93/KHJ. Despite having a large playlist and despite having such talent as Charlie Tuna, Machine Gun Kelly, and the Real Don Steele (all former KHJ DJs), KODJ did not succeed. It became KCBS-FM in 1991, switched to classic rock in 1993 (as "Arrow 93"), and in 2005 began an "adult hits" format as "Jack-FM."
