[edit] License tagging for Image:Generalyandiev.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Generalyandiev.jpg. Wikipedia gets hundreds of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 10:05, 30 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Srebrenica
Hi Kocoum,
if you are going to ad more information to Srebrenica Genocide article, then start adding it from Dado's recent revisions. Srebrenice genocide deniers and revisionists are abusing Srebrenica Massacre article, and only good copy is Dado's copy. Stick to it.
- Hello Kocoum. Thank you for your contributions to Srebrenica massacre. I wanted to ask you where you get your information from. Is it also taken from the ICTY judgment? As you may have noticed, and can probably imagine, this article has seen a fair bit of controversy, which is why I hope that we can include some notes saying which statements are supported by which sources; see Wikipedia:Cite your sources.
- In response to the anonymous comment above, I hope you have the intelligence to make your own judgment and the civility to discuss your views. For what it's worth, I think that Dado is one of most sensible contributors to the article. Cheers, Jitse Niesen (talk) 12:55, 6 June 2006 (UTC)

Your Srebrenica Genocide denial will not be tolerated. That, I can promise you. - Bosniak
- What are you talking about? When did I deny that genocide took place? If you're referring to my removal of the section with UN conclusions, please note that I explained my reasoning on Talk:Srebrenica massacre and that Dado said that it was OK to remove it. -- Jitse Niesen (talk) 08:26, 7 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Thank you Kocoum
I would like to thank Kocoum for all his wonderful contributions. - Bosniak

[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:Sreb 5.JPG)
|
Thanks for uploading Image:Sreb 5.JPG. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that the image can be used under a fair use license. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. —Bkell (talk) 02:18, 28 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Unspecified source for Image:X-kitana2.jpeg
Thanks for uploading Image:X-kitana2.jpeg. I notice the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this file yourself, then there needs to be an argument why we have the right to use it on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you did not create the file yourself, then you need to specify where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.
If the file also doesn't have a copyright tag, then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{fairusein|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Nv8200p talk 00:12, 22 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Exhum ch.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Exhum ch.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).
The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}
. If you have not already done so, please also include the source of the image. In many cases this will be the website where you found it.
Please specify the copyright information and source on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me, or ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Fritz Saalfeld (Talk) 12:25, 8 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:Stolenbreeze.JPG)
Thanks for uploading Image:Stolenbreeze.JPG. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. [edit] Fair use rationale for Image:24318.jpg
This file may be deleted. |
Thanks for uploading Image:24318.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. When you use a generic fair use tag such as {{fair use}} or {{fair use in|article name}}, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. — Rebelguys2 talk 03:35, 21 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Unspecified source for Image:Photo09.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Photo09.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.
As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self-no-disclaimers}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{fairusein|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 21:07, 7 March 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Iamunknown 21:07, 7 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Khattab.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Khattab.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:

[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:Livre17.JPG)
Thanks for uploading Image:Livre17.JPG.
Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Iamunknown 00:09, 16 March 2007 (UTC)
