[edit] Okruashvili Page

Kober, please do not remove my changes. I am posting changes that have been on TV, in Newspapers in Georgia. Okruashvili has been accused of corruption and he was listed as one of the richest Georgians. So DO NOT remove these comments, unless you are working for Ministry of Internal Affairs and in this case you are just putting propaganda online.

[edit] Anon Vandalism : Georgia (country)

Due to the amount of anon vandalism, I protected the page from non-established users. What do you think? SosoMK 04:26, 18 February 2007 (UTC)

Kober I don't why User:Pethr is deleting my research, could you please revert back the Georgia article SosoMK 20:30, 18 February 2007 (UTC)
Kober, that looks awesome, i will use it for the reference. Do u maintain it?SosoMK 20:56, 18 February 2007 (UTC)
Kober, why did you think that removing these facts were necessary? [[1]] SosoMK 21:01, 18 February 2007 (UTC)
Come on, don't apologize, that's cool, I just wanted to state the fact that Georgia has one of the highest life expectancies in the region and foreigner always are amazed by that. thank you, Kober, SosoMK 21:10, 18 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Wine thing

Alright I just wanted to see reason there, adding Georgian POV would be OK as well. At least link to main article should stay there. I will also move portal once more to the buttom. I really don't understand why it was so difficult to do so minor changes to this article. Tank you.--Pethr 21:26, 18 February 2007 (UTC)

You know it's natural that you want to know why they banned the wine when you're reading the article. It should be explained there. I have no ties with either Russia nor georgia, just wanted to improve it a bit. Please let me know what you think. Thank you.--Pethr 21:36, 18 February 2007 (UTC)

Thank you for your reply and rephrasing. I think it's mostly accurate. I will add some sources to it tomorrow since it's crtical to be accurate and sourced. I don't know much about it but heard a lot on BBC. I think it's certainly noteable since it's part of the bigger picture. Once more thank you for that. Cheers.--Pethr 06:19, 19 February 2007 (UTC)
Look at how pathetic is that?[[2]] He removed your message from my talkpage:) I hope it made you laugh a little a bit. SosoMK 22:15, 18 February 2007 (UTC)
Oh my. Just for the record It was removed by mistake. Edit history well documents how this user was removing all the comments so it was really hard to see all the changes in that fast motion. I'm sorry about that. I'm sure you understand that it wasn't done on purpose.--Pethr 06:19, 19 February 2007 (UTC)
Kober, we don't have to do that. It is an economy section and why the heck we have to say what Kremlin thinks aboout the wine, which was not proven by any scientific research and as for the portal, for example, England also has it on the top. I really don't know what is this Pethr's problem. What he does can be classified as vandalism, people like him damage wikipedia. SosoMK 13:18, 19 February 2007 (UTC)
Alright, I've had enought. Be aware of personal attacks, consider this a warning and for god's sake see Wikipedia:Guide to layout finally! It says where is the portal supposed to be! Stop attacking me, the only issue I've had with you was that you couldn't make your changes to the new version of the article and was reverting it back without any exlanation (you know that edit summary thing? you know that artices have talk pages, right?). So please stop and think about what you're doing. Personal attacks are what destroys Wikipedia. Thank you.--Pethr 15:06, 19 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] youre right

I didn't read that part in older discussion, sorry about that, I also think maybe Buffadrene didn't see it, but it is best to keep it out because it is such an emotional word, if you can say the same without using emotive words it is better Pernambuco 18:51, 19 February 2007 (UTC)

there isnt a need to apologize, I was the one at fault here, next time I'll look more closely at the past discussions and it is right that it is a subject that I don't know a lot about yet, but well, I am willing to learn and hopefully I will Pernambuco 19:12, 19 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Ajar and sources

Hi Kober.

I'd love to help out if at all humanly possible on Georgian dialects (as we've been discussing at the AfD recently). The only problem, of course, is that Georgian isn't exactly a language which has spawned a lot of English-language sources. If you - or anyone you know with linguistic knowledge - is able to get something going regarding the dialects, though, I'll be more than happy to help polish up the English and/or add some sources if there's enough material in languages I can understand. To be perfectly frank, I'd give my left arm to know Georgian, but I doubt I'd be able to learn it fast enough to be of much use here :P BigHaz - Schreit mich an 12:08, 27 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Kobo

Gamarjoba Kober

I have been asked about thr origin of the georgian name Kobo. Do you know sambody with this name? and the origin of it. (I know about the name Koba) Geagea 23:43, 4 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Vector map of Abkhazia

Hi, Kober! I'd noticed that the Georgian wiki article about abkhazia doesn't contain any map in Georgian. I started a vector map of Abkhazia today (Image:Abkhazia Map Apsny.svg - experimental map in Abkhazian), but I have only Russian source. Could you provide Georgian naming for the biggest inhabited localities, rivers and ranges, and how they correspond to the Russian naming (not modern, but on 1989). This work could be interesting for me, moreover, once I wanted to study Georgian script and it probably will be a good chanse to do it. This map also may be a base for the historical maps, for example, a map of Georgian-Abkhazian conflict or something else.--Üñţïf̣ļëŗ (see also:ә? Ә!) 20:02, 8 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Andrew Andersen crisis

Kober, check out my talk page and User:Atabek's talk page for our discussion on Andrew Andersen's credibility. Atabek is pushing to remove Andersen's NPOV map with the controversial Azerbaijani Paris Peace Conference map. He calls Andersen's map "fake map scribbles directed against Azerbaijan." If Atabek succeeds, then he's putting a number of Wikipedia articles that use Andersen at risk, including Georgian-related articles. -- Aivazovsky 15:14, 9 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] References

If something is so evident (like the fact that there are 250,000 idps who are not allowed to return to Abkhazia) you should have no problem finding a reference for that (I mean exactly for this number and this ref should be not too old). I have not removed this sentence from the article and I have no intention of doing it in future. Alaexis 14:25, 18 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Pitsunda

Hi Kober

I put the georgian name as the name of the city Pitsunda because thiere was no abkhzian name (only rusian). the user Alexsis says that that Pitsunda is tha Abkhazian name (see the hebrew wikipadia). what do you think? Geagea 10:23, 19 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Map Kartuli

Enjoy!

It is the first map (the second version I'd uploaded with the such name). Some other will be soon. Surprisingly .svg doesn't support Geogian (but it supports Abkhazian :) ), so if you try to download and edit this image, the Georgian letters will be represented as images (Оконтурить штрих option, I dont know how it will be in English in Inkscape...), not text. The first version I'd uploaded contains Georgian letters, but they are not featured :( --Üñţïf̣ļëŗ (see also:ә? Ә!) 19:46, 31 March 2007 (UTC)
