KNTU is the FM campus radio station of the University of North Texas which was formerly known as North Texas State University at Denton, Texas. The signal of the station covers much of the Dallas and Fort Worth Metroplex of North Texas with a format of news and primarily Jazz music. Most of the staff is comprised of Radio, Television, and Film students.

In addition to playing jazz, KNTU hosts a number of other musical genres and programming including:

  • La Onda Tejana: Tejano music
  • North Texas Jukebox: A request show that attempts to cover any and all genres
  • In The House: House music

In addition, KNTU produces a weeknight newscast, The Late Edition, and simulcasts WFAA's News 8 at 6:00.

While there may have been campus limited broadcasts (Carrier current or closed circuit feeds) calling themselves KNER, the on the air call sign was always KNTU. KNER was in use in east Dallas by a non comm owned by bucKNER baptist benevolences.
