[edit] Bios

Best way to do this is to look at a few bios first. I would recommend C.Y. O'Connor, then try Bob Brown - you need to look at ones of living persons and the not so living ones, as well as contentious ones and the mild stubs like the one I started on Thomas Bather Moore - its best to see what mess editors can get up to - and usually on their talk pages there are links to other places to look at. Hope that helps. Please dont hesitate to ask anything. If I cant help there are plenty of places to go to...SatuSuro 07:56, 12 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] License tagging for Image:Dec 06 cover of the Briefing.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Dec 06 cover of the Briefing.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 09:05, 12 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Nkayesmith says "Sign your posts"

As a courtesy for other editors, it is a Wikipedia guideline to sign your talk page and user talk page posts. To do so simply add four tildes (~~~~) at the end of your comments and your user name or IP address and the date will be automatically added along with a timestamp. Signing your comments helps people to find out who said something and provides them with a link to your user/talk page (for further discussion). For further info read Wikipedia:Talk page guidelines. Thank you.--nkayesmith 12:19, 12 December 2006 (UTC)

Hi Nkayesmith, I am fairly fanatical about doing this, is there a place I forgot to?Knobbly 20:10, 12 December 2006 (UTC)
Yes, at User_talk:212.159.75.221. --nkayesmith 01:41, 13 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Category:National parks of Australia

Are you aware of this category? I was wondering whether with this new box you are putting at the bottom of national parks in Tasmania - are you aware of the earlier category? It might be worth checking very carefully before you go much further.... SatuSuro 05:27, 19 December 2006 (UTC)

Yes, and categories are good for organising articles but lousy when it comes to aesthetics and ease of use. I was thinking of the info box used at the bottom of an article for British national parks (eg Brecon Beacons) or American national parks. (egYosemite National Park) What is your opinion about info boxes? --Knobbly 07:54, 19 December 2006 (UTC)
I am trying to check with someone else about whether such an info box is actually workable - each state has a huge number of national parks and pre-existing boxes in most cases - I suspect the new one might be duplicating info. will get back to you on this one. SatuSuro 12:40, 19 December 2006 (UTC)
Welcome SatuSuro ask me to stop by and look at the template, I like it. You might like to look at how Serpentine National Park has addressed the use of a box. Including every state would be very large box and too easy for errors/ommisions to creep in. Gnangarra 13:36, 19 December 2006 (UTC)
I forget how few national parks the UK has compared to Australia, a per state info box probably works better.--Knobbly 20:50, 19 December 2006 (UTC)
YES that is the case. - and in most cases each state has a box already... SatuSuro 22:10, 19 December 2006 (UTC)
We might be talking about two different things SatuSuro. Each Tasmanian National Park article now has a little info box on the right and a green Tasmanian national parks box at the end of the article, which 'Me' fixed up. I don't understand how anything is going wrong with that set of articles. In fact I'd say the articles now look pretty good, albeit a few need some more words, but at a good standard. --Knobbly 21:54, 20 December 2006 (UTC)
My apologies - yes you are going well! excellent. What I had confused the other day was boxes and categories - somehow I thought there was another category added, not the box. No need to worry about me - keep up the good work! SatuSuro 00:01, 21 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Christmas
