Knockatallon

Knockatallon or Knockatallan is a townland in the north of County Monaghan in the Republic of Ireland in the parish of Tydavnet. It is located to the West of Sheskin.
Knockatallon's national school is named St. Joseph's National school Knockatallon and is situated at the cross roads knockatallon.
In recent times there has been a Tourism Centre build in Corlat, near Knockatallon called the Sliabh Beagh Tourism Centre, Knockatallon. This centre was officially opened on the 29th of November 2001 by Bertie Ahern.
As a member of the Sliabh Beagh Cross Border Partnership Knockatallon has four identified way marked walks.
There is a Catholic Chapel in Corlat, sometimes referred locally as Knockatallon Chapel but officially known as St. Joseph's.
