Florida Atlantic University's main campus is loacted in Boca Raton, Florida, USA. The university has six additional satellite campuses in Florida; located in the cities of Dania Beach, Davie, Fort Lauderdale, Jupiter, Port St. Lucie, and Fort Pierce, at the Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institution. FAU's seven campuses span 150 miles of Florida's eastern coastline, and serve a seven-county region which has a populace of more than five million people.[1]

Florida Atlantic University's main campus is located in Boca Raton, Florida. Established in 1964, the site is located on an 850-acre(3.5 kmĀ²) parcel one half-mile west of the Atlantic Ocean. The campus is loacted in an urban area in the heart of Boca Raton.
The main campus contains laboratories, administrative buildings, a majority of the university's academic buildings, athletic facilities, auditoriums, art galleries and museums.

The Dania Beach campus of the university is loacted on 8 acres of land between the intracoastal waterway and the Atlantic Ocean. The campus is known as the Sea-Tech campus, and is part of the the Department of Ocean Engineering

[edit] Port St. Lucie campus
FAU has served the Treasure Coast since the 70s, originally partnering with Indian River Community College (IRCC) to take students from an associate's degree through undergraduate and graduate degrees. In 1994, FAU purchased 50 acres in the St. Lucie West area, including a building originally built by Barry University. FAU and IRCC currently operate from a joint use facility that opened in 2002, each splitting utlity, maintenance and police costs.[FAU @ Pt. St. Lucie History in construction project]
