[edit] Takhisis/Neraka

According to the WikiProject Dragonlance Tasks, we should put this article at Knights of Takhisis, and put a subsection about the Knights of Neraka. I'm gonna get to work expanding this article a bit, it's not bad, but a bit more won't hurt. We can discuss the possible move and move if neccessary. I personally think it should be at Knights of Takhisis, just seems more common to me. Also, the DL Nexus puts it at Knights of Takhisis. DoomsDay349 20:48, 18 September 2006 (UTC)

The task page is however not a general consensus of the community but the opinion of one editor, isn't it? Still, you raise a very valid point. I did consider it before writing the article, also noting that the DL Nexus puts it at "Knights of Takhisis".
I think it makes the most sense to write articles from the "current time" of the novels and the setting. I think we can at least all agree that it would seem very strange to describe events in the future tense, even though articles such as Takhisis mix past and present in a wierd way. Based on that I also think it makes the most sense to name articles according to the current state of events, even though something might be better known under a different name. I don't like the idea of naming an article "Knights of Takhisis" and in that article write that the order is no longer known under that name. That's why I think "Knights of Neraka" is the better choice. --Maggu 20:02, 4 October 2006 (UTC)
I understand that. It would indeed sound bad. Still, we should go with the most common name. The thing is, we must now determine just what that is. DoomsDay349 20:26, 4 October 2006 (UTC)
I suppose that depends a lot on what you mean by "most common" exactly. Do we mean the number of times it's written in published material, or the term people most commonly use? The Dragonlance CS (and thus, I would assume, most of the role-playing community) uses "Knights of Neraka". That goes a long way. But still, why should we necessarily go with the most common name? I mean, why go with something that sounds bad? After all, there is and will be a redirect from "Knights of Takhisis", and both names should be mentioned in the intro. --Maggu 20:40, 4 October 2006 (UTC)
Most common is the named most often used by people, not just the authors and such. The best thing to do would be to put it to a vote as to what we use, as we are effective representatives of the people. DoomsDay349 20:56, 4 October 2006 (UTC)

I also choose Takhisis. DoomsDay349 02:22, 5 October 2006 (UTC)
