KMTG

Radio station KMTG is operated by Pioneer High School in San Jose, California, USA and serves the Almaden Valley and South San Jose areas. It was formerly known as KLEL and operated from Leland High School.

The station is completely student-run, educational, and non-profit. The students doing shows on the station do so as part of formal classes in broadcasting and under the supervision of the station manager. The station manager, a teacher at the high school and himself a radio personality, is still active in the broadcasting field doing television commercials and writing for local radio and TV.

The format of the station is varied depending on the student shows that have been properly proposed and implemented. The station operates 24 hours a day. When the station is not featuring student shows, it continues to broadcast a mix of today's and yesterday's top music using computer automation.

The station does not, at this time, offer a request line. However it soon will. They are getting a new board as donated from another local station. They are also working on laying lines to the Gym, Stadium, and Baseball field so that games can be announced over the air.

Radio Station KMTG is a part of the Emergency Alert System.

The current 2007 weekly schedule for shows is:

Morning show start at 7:30. Lunch shows at Noon (Except on Fridays). Afternoon shows at 1:30.

Friday Morning ~ Ozzy and Ashim "Wake-up Call"

Friday Mid-Morning-Lunch- (11:00-12:15) Yaz and Bryan "Mustang Sports Rush"
