[edit] Inner Banks

I am concerned that your article on Inner Banks doesn't meet some of our guidelines for inclusion. From my Google searches, this doesn't seem to be a wide spread term or a wide spread organization. I am also concerned with the way in which you added "This town is part of the Inner Banks" to a lot of North Carolina articles. Can you please provide some sources that this term is widely used and isn't merely a WP:NEO? Metros232 18:11, 13 July 2006 (UTC)

  • What needs to be done to clean this page up so the banners can be removed that say the neutrality is disputed? This article is virtually identical to the Outer Banks article yet that one is not disputed. On the discussion pages, people who like the article are people who actually live here and have knowledge related to the discussion while people who don't like the article are people who are not from the region and lack any knowledge of the topic. Metros232's bio says he is from Maryland... Why are there Wikipedia articles on Western Maryland, Eastern Shore of Maryland, and other regions in Maryland if not for advertising purposes? I'm from eastern North Carolina and have never been to the Eastern Shore of Maryland, nor have I ever heard it called by that name until I took the time to look into it. If an article about a region can be accused of "advertising" then there are hundreds, if not thousands of articles that need to be removed from Wikipedia. --Kevin R Mills 15:46, 1 August 2006 (UTC)
    • You'd have to talk to User:Gooday.1, the one that added those tags to see why the user felt it violated those policies. Metros232 15:54, 1 August 2006 (UTC)
      • I added those tags because there were a few weasel words in the article (phrases like "beautiful shoreline" and "hidden treasure" are just some examples I can think off the top of my head.) That's now long been fixed. My comment about the actual existence of the inner banks is not related to those tags. If you say its called that, then so be it. Hey, also, do you know if the Cluster Metro is real or not? I can't find anything that even remotely supports that name on Google. --TinMan 07:16, 14 August 2006 (UTC)
        • I'm affraid I am unfamiliar with the term Cluster Metro despite the fact that I was stationed at Pope Air Force Base in Fayetteville from 96-00. I am somewhat new to Wikipedia, the Inner Banks article being my only real contribution, and this may come across as ad hominum, but the Cluster Metro article looks like it could use some serious reworking.--Kevin R Mills 15:19, 15 August 2006 (UTC)
  • How do I add Inner Banks to the list of regions in the North Carolina box at the bottom of the Inner Banks page? Inner Banks is in the Regions of North Carolina page now but does not appear in the box... It is not in the box on the North Carolina page either.
    • Thanks to whoever rectified this.--Kevin R Mills 15:19, 15 August 2006 (UTC)
