Klub Katz is an episode in season one of Courage the Cowardly Dog. It features the return of arch-villain Katz, this time working on an island as the manager of a spa that transforms people into mechanical appliances.

Eustace, Muriel and Courage are on holiday on a boat, playing Bingo, but it is interrupted when they are shipwrecked by a tidal wave. They end up on an island, and are greeted by Katz (whom none of them seem to recognize). Eustace is desperate to find his red chair that got lost in the tidal wave. Courage goes to a soft drink machine, when the ship captain's face appears on the machine, telling him that terrible things happen there, and that Courage must leave the island and never return. Katz takes them to his spa. Katz tells them that no dogs are allowed in the spa, forcing Courage to be left outside. In the spa, Courage hears Eustace and Muriel, apparently in great pain. When they come out, they have both transformed: Muriel is now a washing machine, and Eustace a wrecking ball. Katz takes them to a gladiator arena, where he forces Eustace and Muriel to fight. Eustace obliges, forcing Muriel to do the same, although she is being badly beaten. Katz watches with glee. Courage is forced to transform himself into a helicopter in order to rescue Muriel from the wrecking ball Eustace. Eustace is outraged to see Katz sitting on his red chair. He attacks Katz, just as Courage lands to safety with Muriel on a passing boat.

  • After this episode, season one is the only season to feature Katz in two different episodes.
  • The ship captain is more often the Nowhere Chief of Police.
