Klingenthal

Klingenthal is a town in the Vogtlandkreis district, in the Free State of Saxony, Germany. It is situated on the border with the Czech Republic, 29 km southeast of Plauen, and 33 km northwest of Karlovy Vary.

There is also a town of Klingenthal in France, in the northeast corner bordering Germany. This city (Klingenthal meaning "The Valley of Blades") was host to a large manufacturer of swords and tools for France during the Napoleonic Era and throughout the 1800's.
