Kleshay

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Kleshay were an all female British R&B trio from the 1990's who had two top 40 hits. Their first track was "Reasons", this track made number 33 in 1998, this got them onto Trevor Nelson's the lick pick of the week. The girl's second track was even more successful in the Top 20 and peaked at number 19, and thus they appeared on many different TV shows to promote the track including MTV's Select and SMTV Live. Sadly the track fell to number 40 in only its second week and the band were dropped by Jerv Records since they hoped for a top 10 hit.

The band then went their separate ways, Alani became a duo with cousin ex-Honeyz member Celena Cherry called "Anotherside" but the track missed the top 40 by a few thousand and the duo were dropped. Kandi did some TV work for ITV 1 and Leah did some writing for other artists. Even though the band just disappeared an album sampler recently appeared on eBay featuring two unreleased tracks "Desire" And "Never Did Say". This sampler is very rare because only fifty copies were produced so be prepared to pay at least thirty pounds for a copy.
