Entravision changed its call letters to KLDO and affiliated it to Telemundo Spanish Network. In 1998, XHLAT-TV TV Azteca 7 and XHLNA-TV TV Azteca 7 went on-air in Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas, Entravision changed KLDO's affiliate to Univision since Telemundo used to get most of its programming from the TV Azteca Networks, but aired programming months later.
