Klaus Alinen (born February 22, 1981 in Pori, Finland) is a Finnish football player who also played tight end for the Atlanta Falcons. After one year in practice squad he received a contract and played through most of the 06-07 pre-season. He was the Finnish person ever to make a contract with a pro-football team. He didnĀ“t make the team and was released after two pre-season exhibition games. Currently Alinen is a free agent. He is heading towards NFL Europe for another season.
Klaus Alinen stands 6'6 tall (198cm) and weighs 260lbs (118kg). Because of his athletic ability, versatility and size, he is nicknamed "Hulk"
Alinen joined Falcons as a part on international training squad status. Played both tight end and defensive end. Alinen has played three seasons in NFL Europe. He was tight end and long snapper for Berlin Thunder.
