[edit] Blocked!!

Hi HappyUser! This username isn't blocked. So I assume you had a previous name that was blocked. For privacy reasons, Wikipedia editors aren't automatically told your previous names or IP address. To unblock you, I'll need to know them. You can copy and paste the message that appears when you try to edit. Just put the {{unblock}} template back on this page, together with the copy and paste and I'll be along shortly to lift the autoblock. Thanks! ЯEDVERS 19:24, 31 August 2006 (UTC)

Your user name or IP address has been blocked from editing. You were blocked by FireFox for the following reason (see our blocking policy): Autoblocked because your IP address has been recently used by "What Username Can I Use?". The reason given for What Username Can I Use?'s block is: "vandalism". Your IP address is 141.151.57.144.

Right, you are now unblocked. Welcome to Wikipedia! I'll attach a proper welcome message with handy links below.
Please edit constructively. I know you have specific views on the Junior Shrub and others, but Wikipedia isn't the place to air those views. If nothing else, we have a couple of thousand people a day who try to, so you're more "boring" than "radical". And you'll not change any views here. Everybody you meet here already has a view on Mr Shrub, good or bad, and a spot of mindless, boring vandalism won't change those views. So work with us, not against us.
"HappyUser" is a really nice name, BTW. Be productive under that name and people will be made happier! ЯEDVERS 19:39, 31 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Allen-1-.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Allen-1-.jpg. The image description page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 17:05, 9 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Andrew Wojtanik

Hi HappyUser. I have nominated your article on Andrew Wojtanik for deletion as I don't feel he is really notable enough. Please contest the nomination if you think I am wrong. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Criteria_for_speedy_deletion#General_criteria .

[edit] L'Engle character articles

Thanks for setting up the L'Engle character articles! I've been meaning to do that for a while, but finding the time is always a problem for me. One thing, though: please don't state a birthdate for them. As James Bow notes in his blog article (the one you link to), setting exact dates for the books is problematic at best. He puts forth a pretty good argument for that approximate starting date, but it's not official, and there are contradictions no matter what you do. I'm sure that's one reason why L'Engle refers to the Murry-O'Keefe books as taking place in Kairos (eternal, can't set your watch by it time). Fair enough? Thanks! I'll try to flesh things out over the weekend. Karen | Talk | contribs 01:30, 16 September 2006 (UTC)

I'll fix that... HappyUser 14:48, 16 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Edit Summaries

Thanks for adding some details to the stubby little Newbery Award articles--every little bit helps. When you make an edit, would you mind filling in the "edit summary" box at the bottom of the edit screen? Something like "added detail" would be fine for the kinds of additions you've made today. Filling in the edit summary field greatly helps your fellow contributors in understanding what you changed. Have a great day! Joyous! | Talk 18:44, 17 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] My friend?

Hello, HappyUser. Back in July, you added your old user name to my list of friends. [1] Since I haven't had time to contribute to Wikipedia regularly since June, I haven't even noticed your name there until now. I suppose you can be on my list if you want to, but I honestly don't remember ever meeting you. Am I forgetting something? --TantalumTelluride 03:43, 28 September 2006 (UTC)

There was one page we edited together... HappyUser 20:26, 29 September 2006 (UTC)
OK then. We can be friends. Let me know if you ever need any help. --TantalumTelluride 22:07, 4 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Concordia Newsletter

NEWSLETTER

Concordia is currently trying to relaunch. I, and all the members of the ex-council, wish to welcome new members to the group. We are a group who aim to promote remaining civil, in an environment where messages can easily be interpretated wrongly.

[edit] Help out now!

  • Try and help people remain civil! Talk to them, and help them in any way possible. Do not be afraid to use the talk page.
  • Give people the Civility Barnstar.
  • Make and spread some Wikitokens so people know there are people to help if they want assistance.
  • Add banners or logos to your userpage to show your support.
  • Suggest some ideas! Add 'em to the talk page.

We are a community, so can only work though community contributions and support. It's the helping that counts.

[edit] Decision Making

The council expired one month ago, but due to the current position of the group the current council will remain until the position of the group can be assessed, and whether it would be sensible to keep Concordia going. For most decisions, however, it will be decided by all who choose to partake in discussions. I am trying to relaunch because of the vast amounts of new members we have received, demonstrating that the aims are supported.

If you wish to opt of of further talk-page communications, just let us know here.

[edit] National Geographic World Championship

Hello HappyUser. My name is Matias Saucedo, I'm from Argentina and I was one of the contestants on National Geographic World Chapionship 2005. Since I've seen you've edited its Wikipedia article, and also Andrew Wojtanik's, I'd like to know more about you, like who you exactly are, for example. Please send me an e-mail: maturanna49@gmail.com

Thanks. :)
