As of 2/17/2005, a google for "kiting" returns primarily references to the sport and the act of check kiting (which is normally just called "kiting" in banking circles). I propose that this page be moved to Kiting (MMORPG term) and this page be made into a disambiguation. --DDG 19:21, 17 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] KITing = Killing In Transit?

I always learnt that kiting came from the acronym KIT, for Killing In Transit. This seems more likely to me than the rather obscure reference of "flying a kite", and googling "killing in transit" will produce a variety of independent references. Does anyone have a problem with me editing the section referring to the etymology of this term? --Robin S 00:29, 4 September 2006 (UTC)
